Shooting Star
Shooting Star (Dodecatheon meadia). Although we’d sown seeds of this species throughout our restoration efforts, I never saw any until last year, when I spotted a single plant. Today, we saw probably more than 20 stems were flowering, both pink and white forms.

Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa). This bush produced 42 stalks with pods last year.
